Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous monuments in the world, located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built between 1632 and 1653 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Made entirely of white marble, the Taj Mahal stands as a symbol of eternal love and is admired for its perfect symmetry, detailed carvings, and beautiful inlay work using semi-precious stones.
Situated on the banks of the Yamuna River, the monument includes a grand central dome, four minarets, lush Mughal gardens, and a reflecting pool that enhances its beauty. The Taj Mahal blends Persian, Islamic, and Indian architectural styles, making it a masterpiece of Mughal architecture. In 1983, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and today it is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, attracting millions of visitors from across the globe.
